Time to get thinking with today’s #MondayMotivation post.
Are you prepared for your finest hour?
Your moment when your actions will change the course of your life?
‘To each there comes in their lifetime a special moment when they are figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered the chance to do a very special thing, unique to them and fitted to their talents’. ‘What a tragedy if that moment finds them unprepared or unqualified for that which could have been their finest hour’.
I came across this saying during some reading a while ago and it really struck a note with me. We all get at least one of these special moments in our lives to really shine. Some are lucky enough to have this opportunity more than once, but how prepared can we be and how do we even know if we are preparing ourselves in the right way?
The answer is we will never truly know until unfortunately it’s to late.
So how do we prepare ourselves for our finest hour when we might not know what that will be? It’s like one of those how long is a piece of string questions, there are so many variables, we just can’t answer it. That’s why the only way we can prepare ourselves for the unknown is to try and be the best we can be, at whatever it is that we do and enjoy the journey. We all have skill sets and talents that place us in the hierarchy of the human race, whether you know your talent or skill set is another question. If you know yours then you have already got a head start when your moment arrives. However if you don’t, you may have not unearthed your genius, or you may have not realised where your expertise lies.
The things that we find rewarding, interesting and challenging are more likely to be where we flourish. If we can do more of these things, we can only be preparing ourselves for our finest hour.
Have a great week everyone.
Stay strong and live, love and laugh!
