Another Monday has arrived at our door step and whether we’re in lockdown or not it must be time for another #MondayMotivation post.
How many times do you hear other people saying ‘Oh I’ll do that someday’? And how many times do you hear yourself saying that too?
Now please correct me if I’m wrong but as far as I’m aware there are seven days in the week and someday isn’t one of them.
We all have many dreams and aspirations we want to achieve but if we keep leaving them to that someday, they will more than likely only ever be dreams and aspirations. For things to come to fruition action needs to taken on a day of the week that actually exists.
I have a rule. If something needs doing it goes in my diary. Simples. My diary is always full of things to do, it’s non-stop. But I don’t get overwhelmed by it all, for me it’s just a way of organising stuff I would like to get done, I prioritise things that are more important and steadily work my way through them and for every one I can cross off, a new one will be put in it’s place.
Another part of that rule is if something comes to mind that needs doing and it takes less than 5 minutes, just get it done there and then. Don’t spend 2 minutes putting it down in your diary or on your to do list, just do it and do it now, you’ll be amazed what a difference that makes to you and how much more productive you feel. The bigger projects may sit there in my diary untouched as other things are more important, but I still see them everyday as a reminder. When I can I try to priorities sometime to them even if it’s an hour, those hours soon accumulate into days worth of time spent working towards your dreams.
Organisation is a key aspect to turning those ‘somedays’ into one of those real days we are actually living. So don’t be one of those someday dreamers, be a Monday to Sunday dreamer.
Have a great week guys.
Stay strong and live, love and laugh!
