Morning all,
Today’s #MondayMotivation post is all about practice.
How many hours do you put into your craft or that thing that you would like to excel at?
They say 10,000 hours, yes 10,000 hours is the key amount of hours you need to put into anything to become an expert at it.
How far are you on that scale?
This concept was first studied back in 1993 by a Professor from Colorado, where he found that the average amount of hours that elite performers practiced was 10,000 hours and the less able performers was around 4,000 hours with no evidence of naturally gifted performers who did less practice. Now this all of a sudden means that natural talent might only contribute to so much and it’s the relentless practice that makes the difference.

There has been various authors talk about this magic 10,000 hours since and there is no concrete evidence to prove this 10,000 hours is the difference between the successful and the less successful. BUT, every person whether successful in business, successful in sport or successful in achieving personal goals, the one thing they will all have in common I can guarantee you, is they all practice their craft over and over and over again.
If you’re not the expert in your field yet and you want to be, you need to practice, practice and practice some more. Never become content with where you are, as when you stop you’ll find everyone else will be moving ahead of you.
Have a great week and get practicing.
Stay strong and live, love and laugh!
Dan
